_{[ We haven't really seen or heard much from Jake English since he arrived here. He found his connections, and his friends back home, and he seems to be content interacting with those that he already knows. He's pretty extroverted, really, he just gets super nervous.
Jake is nervous looking, again. It seems he's reporting from a Pokemon Center, yet again, and asking for assistance.

Are we beginning to see a pattern here?

This time, it's on video, and he sounds out of breath.
For those who haven't seen to heard him before, the teen couldn't appear over 18, and his voice carried a peculiar accent. You could say it was not-so-quite-Australian. ]}

It's alright!
My grandma was really old with graying hair and she was the most inspirational person to me! Boy, I miss her a lot.

Also, she strapped herself down with guns and ammo like she was going into war, so it made her really cool!

Misdreavus...the Screech Pokémon. ...Misdreavus loves being mischievous by pulling people's hair and shocking them.

She was the toughest! She taught me to be rugged like a gentleman, but then she also protected me from the monsters we had on our island.

When she passed away back home in my alternative world, she gave me all of her guns.

Good news, though. She's here! Well, kind of.
Her younger alternative version of herself is here, so that helps me miss her less.

That sounds a little confusing... Is it weird seeing your grandmother, except young and... not?

[He affords Jake a rueful smile for that, shifting his weight and shoving his hands in his pockets.]

Between you and me, bro, the game wasn't really home, either. [Felt more like it than a watery grave of an apartment, at least.]

[He reaches out, awkwardly, and claps him on the shoulder.]

Well, you're the Hope guy. I'm sure it'll happen.

That sounds horrible! Does it intend to mean me harm then?

No, I don't think so...it's just doing what it's meant to do naturally...?

Maybe it wants to be your friend? Would you like me to ask it?

Ah, you got one of the cute ones! Hehe, but they also tend to be one of the more mischievous species, as their name implies. So that's definitely something to be aware of, especially since that mischievousness usually manifests by way of scaring the crap out of people.

[His voice never loses its chipper, enthusiastic tone.]

But that actually serves a purpose, aside from just being fun for them I guess. See, they feed off of fear. [He gestures to his neck.] With those little pearl things. But you can feed them normal food too, just like you would any other Pokémon. So I wouldn't advise discouraging it from trying to scare people and Pokémon but you might want to set some boundaries with it.

Do you think it wants to be my friend because I am so scared of it?

Haha! Right you are. I don't quite understand it myself, but— apparently that's how things occur back home.

_{[ He scratches his head. ]}

I did catch a Pokemon, but I wasn't intending on it wanting to stay with me, I suppose.

_{[ Jake tenses when he feels Dirk put his hand on his shoulder. He puts on an uneasy smile and nods. ]}

Ah, well. As oddball as it may sound, I dare say I miss my island actually.

_{[ Oh, yep. His head bows a bit. ]}

_{[ John you talk a lot and it's hard for Jake to keep up. He nods through John's entire spiel, though he does honestly get lost somewhere in the middle of it.

The last part of John's talk gets his attention. ]}

[May as well just answer like that, she's at least 20% more psychic than the average person anyway.]

[Jake...Jake plz. How are you not hanging onto every word this is all just so fascinating, clearly.]

Yeah like...who it is and isn't allowed to scare. I usually let my Mismagius have free reign over scaring wild Pokémon, but when it comes to my team there are some that she knows are off limits otherwise there are Consequences. Stuff like that.
