002 ☠ video / action for VIOLET CITY

_{[ We haven't really seen or heard much from Jake English since he arrived here. He found his connections, and his friends back home, and he seems to be content interacting with those that he already knows. He's pretty extroverted, really, he just gets super nervous.
Jake is nervous looking, again. It seems he's reporting from a Pokemon Center, yet again, and asking for assistance.

Are we beginning to see a pattern here?

This time, it's on video, and he sounds out of breath.
For those who haven't seen to heard him before, the teen couldn't appear over 18, and his voice carried a peculiar accent. You could say it was not-so-quite-Australian. ]}

Um! Ah—
Does anybody know anything about ghost Pokemon?
Oh, drat. Where are my manners? Ummm. Good evening! How are you all? Do you have any information about ghost Pokemon? What does it like? What does it eat? How to control it? Ummm,

I think I accidentally caught one!

_{[ Yeah, he sounds pretty desperate. There isn't much else for him to go on about. ]}

_{[ Oh, and here comes Jade, trotting over to where he's seated in the Pokemon Center. He scratches the side of his cheek. ]}

Erm. Well, not this new one. I haven't taken it out yet, but the Cubone is a boy, and I decided to name him Golgothas.

_{[ there's a grin! ]}

I dare say I think I'm getting accustomed to his antics!

_{[ Okay, if that Pokemon was not evolved and still a Duskull, he might REALLY like that. But since it's this scary thing, of course he's going to scream right in unison with it, then cover his mouth.

He stares wide eyed at his device, trying to decipher what is going on. ]}

Even so, I don't enjoy it playing tricks on me like it does!
It just.. doesn't want to listen to me. I wonder if I could find out what treats it likes besides my screams, it would cooperate.

[Fortunately for him, in short order a young white-haired girl has shoved the obnoxious ghost to the side and recommandeered the gear. She glares daggers at her Dusknoir.]

What is it that got your attention this time? [Turning her attention to the gear, she notices Jake... and if she were less angry right now his reaction would probably be a little funny. As it is, though, she just sighs.]

Are you the one my Dusknoir decided to harass today?

Learning how to get your Pokemon to listen to you is part of a being a trainer...I'm sure you can do it.

[She plops down next to Jake.]

What kind of antics does he have? My Absol is kind of serious and he likes to protect me, but I found that he really likes to play fetch!

You should take out your new one soon. Maybe it'll want to play.

[His hand is gone as soon as he feels Jake tense under him-- shouldn't have done that. He recoils, hands splayed in the air to show they're away from Jake's person, and then they go back in his pockets. Jesus, he's treating him like a wild frightened animal.]

...ah. [Frown.] Well, there's islands around here-- I mean, it won't be yours, but I'm sure we could find you something to take the edge off a little, at least.

_{[ At this notion, Jake cracks a toothy smile, then brings his attention back to his device. ]}

Capital!
I have been told about that, along with some ... ruins? I believe?
I'm certainly hoping they're more exciting than the ones on my planet.

We should see if the rest of our traveling group wants to investigate there!

[Shrugging his shoulders slightly, he brings one hand up to scratch at the back of his neck.]

Worth asking, sure.

_{[ Oh, this conversation seems to brighten his mood a little, and he enthusiastically waves his hands about. ]}

Just think!
I bet there are heaps of critters inside those ruins.
Maybe.. possibly.. their remains!
Oh, all sorts of artifacts I've never seen before. That is something to look forward to, I reckon.

Well, I reckon that makes sense...
But how did you train her to do that? I'm.. still really all thumbs here in this situation, haha.

_{[ He just.. stares at her for a moment. Was she.. really serious here? ]}

Erm..
I suppose.. I can let it out and you can communicate with it!

_{[ with that, he shuffles about for the Pokeball it was captured in. ]}

_{[ but then .. ]}

A-Ah, that seems rather cruel, don't you think?

You just...talk to her.

[Jake...]

Like there's really no big secret or special way of doing it. You just praise her when she does something good and correct her when she does something bad.

[He's pleased by this development. A grin crosses his face.]

Good. I'm sure we'll find something-- and if the others don't want to go, I'll escort you to an island for maximum shenanigans.

[She will wait. Not necessarily wait like Fry's dog but still patiently.

Yes she is really serious about this "here let me be a Pokemon Whisperer for you person-I-don't-know" thing.]

How long have you been here, dear?

How is that cruel, but stuffing it into a tiny ball isn't?

I wonder what an island here would be like?
I'm accustomed to there being a variety of all sorts of dangers and what not.

I hope I'm not disappointed!

I reckon it's like having a pet in a way...

_{[ hmmm.. ]}

_{[ he's super cautious, okay. ]}

_{[ Jake thinks for a second as he holds the Pokeball in his hand, then scratches his head. ]}

'bout.. maybe a month? A wee bit over that?

_{[ a..haaa. ]}

_{[ Jake scratches the side of his face, falling silent for a moment before looking thoughtfully at the Pokeball next to him. ]}

I'm.. not sure if I precisely want to be a trainer, however.

_{[ hooooo boy. ]}

_{[ This is a little embarrassing to talk about with Jade, so Jake kind of fidgets, stammering over his words a little. ]}

Erm...
It.. likes to scare the living daylights out of me. That is, um.. the new one that I have.
But.. Golgothas?
He.. just really likes to be sad and cry. It's a bit melancholic.

_{[ Jake points to himself, blinking rapidly a few times. ]}

Uhm! Yes, quite— it's.. rather terrifying, honestly!

_{[ oh goodness he is still shaking. ]}

Golly, and I haven't seen you before now? What's your name, young man?

Why thank you. [She grins at his comment as though finding it to be a very charming compliment, but only for a moment before turning to give her ghost a glower.] Though honestly I think it sort of gets irritating after a while.

[Orpheus just floats there and attempts to look remorseful, and after a couple moments Ilya sighs irritably and turns back to Jake.]

Well, I suppose I'd best introduce myself and him. I am Ilyasviel von Einzbern, but you can just call me Ilya. The troublemaker over there is Orpheus.
