002 ☠ video / action for VIOLET CITY
[ We haven't really seen or heard much from Jake English since he arrived here. He found his connections, and his friends back home, and he seems to be content interacting with those that he already knows. He's pretty extroverted, really, he just gets super nervous.
Jake is nervous looking, again. It seems he's reporting from a Pokemon Center, yet again, and asking for assistance.
Are we beginning to see a pattern here?
This time, it's on video, and he sounds out of breath.
For those who haven't seen to heard him before, the teen couldn't appear over 18, and his voice carried a peculiar accent. You could say it was not-so-quite-Australian. ]
Um! Ah—
Does anybody know anything about ghost Pokemon?
Oh, drat. Where are my manners? Ummm. Good evening! How are you all? Do you have any information about ghost Pokemon? What does it like? What does it eat? How to control it? Ummm,
I think I accidentally caught one!
[ Yeah, he sounds pretty desperate. There isn't much else for him to go on about. ]
no subject
The boy stares up at him blankly, blinking a few times. ]
Ummmm.
[ Really, he had no answer, so: ]
What're you doing here, Dirk?
no subject
Dude, why wouldn't I be here. We're traveling together. I'm making sure you're not getting lost.
no subject
[ A bright smile. ]
I'm not lost one bit, fella!
I recognize the illuminating, red lights that indicate a Pokemon Center nearby, and I find this is my favorite place to refuge, granted because it's chilly-willy out.
[ . . . . ]
Are you lost?
no subject
Nah. Checkin' on you, carin' for the Pokémon. You adjusting all right?
no subject
[ He sounds a bit crestfallen at that statement, and shifts his feet a little. ]
Though, I suppose the future a-new is something to look forward to.
[ Jake lifts his hand to his brow and scratches with the back of his thumb nail. ]
I just am hoping we do get to go home at some point.
[ he's really hopeful for that ok. ]
no subject
Between you and me, bro, the game wasn't really home, either. [Felt more like it than a watery grave of an apartment, at least.]
[He reaches out, awkwardly, and claps him on the shoulder.]
Well, you're the Hope guy. I'm sure it'll happen.
no subject
Ah, well. As oddball as it may sound, I dare say I miss my island actually.
[ Oh, yep. His head bows a bit. ]
no subject
...ah. [Frown.] Well, there's islands around here-- I mean, it won't be yours, but I'm sure we could find you something to take the edge off a little, at least.
no subject
Capital!
I have been told about that, along with some ... ruins? I believe?
I'm certainly hoping they're more exciting than the ones on my planet.
We should see if the rest of our traveling group wants to investigate there!
no subject
Worth asking, sure.
no subject
Just think!
I bet there are heaps of critters inside those ruins.
Maybe.. possibly.. their remains!
Oh, all sorts of artifacts I've never seen before. That is something to look forward to, I reckon.
no subject
Good. I'm sure we'll find something-- and if the others don't want to go, I'll escort you to an island for maximum shenanigans.
no subject
I'm accustomed to there being a variety of all sorts of dangers and what not.
I hope I'm not disappointed!
